Dave leads Plexal’s growth team, working closely with UK Government (including the NCSC and DCMS) and industry partners including Dell Technologies, Lloyds Banking Group and Amazon Web Services to solve challenges through collaboration. Dave has played a fundamental role in Plexal’s efforts to close the gap between startups, government, industry and academia and has led numerous high-profile initiatives. These include LORCA – an accelerator that's helped 72 of the UK’s most promising cyber startups secure over £300m in investment, earn more than £68m in revenue and hire over 700 people – and the NCSC Innovation Partnership, which delivers NCSC for Startups. 
Dave has experience working for both large corporates and emerging technology startups, including innovation and product development roles at Barclays and BT. Dave first became aware of Plexal’s work when the scaleup he was commercial director for was accepted onto the LORCA accelerator programme. Dave also has first-hand experience of running a startup, co-founding a film production company that produced the Shane Warne documentary about the life of the cricketing legend.
