DigitalXRAID, an award-winning managed security service provider, is delighted to announce that its Head of Compliance, Kerry Jones, has beaten tough competition to be named Security Woman of the Year at the prestigious Computing Security Excellence Awards 2023. 

Recognising and rewarding the companies, people, products and projects that keep the rest of us safe, Computing’s Security Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements of the security industry over the last year. The DigitalXRAID team had been shortlisted in two categories at the 2023 awards: Managed Security Award and Security Woman of the Year for Kerry Jones.

The Security Woman of the Year award is dedicated to recognising the talent, leadership and contribution of women in the IT industry. Whether working at the top level of security in an organisation, or as a key member of a team endeavour, we want to highlight exceptional women in the UK IT industry across the board.

Kerry’s submission included information about her incredible work with DigitalXRAID’s customers, helping to protect their businesses and implement robust security frameworks. The entry talked about Kerry’s remarkable ability to demystify complex security frameworks and processes, engaging with stakeholders at all levels and bringing teams together to ensure successful certification. It also highlighted her consultative approach, which has resulted in exceptional customer feedback. 

The judges were particularly impressed with Kerry’s position as a strong advocate of cyber awareness training, and how she has taken organisations from being in the dark on security measures to providing them with a scalable roadmap for implementation.

The judges also called out Kerry’s contribution to advancing other female security professionals, having built an all-female compliance team at DigitalXRAID, and inspiring other women to see security as a viable career choice.
